Fridge/freezer underlay
Background
Appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators, freezers and warm water heaters can be found in a home. All of these can leak. Far too often they are installed without the possibility of inspection. They are placed on an easily damaged, unprotected floor, surrounded by high-grade wood kitchen units and with an opening down through the floor beams behind the appliance. It is very easy to fit the fridge/freezer underlays and thereby avoiding an altogether unnecessary, troublesome and expensive water damage
Usage - refrigerator and freezer underlay
 |
One kind of appliance damage, which is both unseen and in addition on the increase, is the damage caused by fridges and freezers (at present 9% of all appliance damage).
A house-owner does not usually see any reason to pull the fridge or freezer out for inspection and cleaning as long as it still works. However, according to the maintenance instructions, this should be done annually.
It is all but impossible to discover damp, mould or water damage, without pulling the fridge out. This is because even small amounts of thawed ice or condensation behind or under the fridge/freezer cause unwelcome damage after a while.
By installing Tollco’s special underlay, which can carry the weight of a fully-loaded fridge/freezer, water is collected and evaporates on the protective surface or is led to the front of the fridge/freezer. |

Dishwashers cause the most damage. They should therefore be placed on an underlay, which collects and leads possible water leakage from the underlay to the front of the machine where it can be easily detected. Today this is a routine measure and one which has spread to a number of other countries |
Product information
The underlay comes in a number of sizes and designs and can be adapted to different kinds of kitchen appliances and the specific type of leakage the appliance may cause. This is the only complete selection of kitchen appliance underlay on the market (November 2005).
Tollco’s products are manufactured using environmentally friendly PP (polypropylene), which is non-toxic, recyclable, durable and product approved
